THE EVER PRESENT HELP

                                          THE EVER PRESENT HELP

Few weeks ago, I read in the news about three Mariners who got stranded in an uninhabited pacific island as they lost their way during a heavy storm in the sea. After three days they were rescued by the Navy coast guards who saw the letters on the shore reading from their helicopters:"HELP".
This was spelt by the mariners using the palm fronds in the island.

Psalm 46:1 says God is an ever present HELP in trouble. All of us face situations where we are desperate for help. When nothing seems to be working we then turn to God. We sometimes limit God. We must know that no situation however worst cannot limit the power of God.
What I want to highlight is that He is "ever present" to help us.

The Lord says "Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things thou knows not". (Jeremiah: 33:3) However deep the pit you are caught in, the Lord’s arm is not short to save you. Whatever chains you are entwined with, the Lord will help you out of it.

In Chronicles 14:11 we read about King Asa, he prayed to the Lord saying "there is no one else like you to help the powerless against the mighty, help us Lord our God for we rely on you....". The Lord indeed helped him!!

Do you call upon the Lord who is an "ever present help"?  Remember the Lord promised us in John 16:7: He will send The Comforter/ the Helper/ Strengthener to be in close fellowship with us. Let us focus our eyes on the promised ever present help!! He will never let us down.

THE OPEN DOOR

Dear friends, often times we come across barriers, hurdles and closed doors along lives narrow way. We stand perplexed in such situations wondering if someone could unlock the doors that prevent blessings in our life.

I want to share with you two incidents in the life of Peter the apostle. We read in Acts chapter 5. Peter was arrested and put in prison following the powerful ministry he did, which was accompanied by many signs and wonders. That night (Acts 5: 19) when Peter was in the public jail, we read the angel of the Lord opened the prison doors. How great is our God, He sent his angels to unlock the prison doors. As written in Psalms 34:7 the angel of the Lord encamps around them who fear him and delivers them. Our God will send His angels to unlock the situation you are caught up in.

The next incident I want to cite to you is in Acts chapter 12 verses 1 to 10; Peter was arrested by King Herod since he continued to preach about Jesus. This time he had a tightened security, he was handed over to four squads of soldiers, each squad comprising of four soldiers. The angel of the Lord appears to him, and Peter following all the instructions of the angel went past the first and the second guards and as they reached the iron gate that leads to the city (Acts 12:10) we read the gate opened by itself and they went outside. What a miraculous escape!!

We serve an awesome God. In Revelation 3:8 the Lord promises you: "I know your deeds though you have little strength; you have kept my word and not denied my name I have set an open door for you that no one can shut." It is already prepared and set open by Lord Jesus, so walk into it and inherit the blessing, peace, prosperity, healing, health, riches and strength. God bless you!!
