GREATER THAN BEFORE !!
Our God
is a God of Restoration. Restore means to bring back to a former, original or
normal condition. It also means to re-establish. When God restores you, He
brings you to a condition which is even greater than before. Our God is full of
compassion and surely loves to do it for you. In Zechariah 10:6 the Lord says, “I will restore
them, because I have compassion on them.”
In the
book of Daniel we read about king Nebuchadnezzar who during his reign in Babylon,
was filled with pride and did not acknowledge the Lord God. This brought a
great fall in his life. He was driven away from his position and people. You
can read all the consequences he faced in Daniel chapter four. At the end of
that time, when he raised his eyes toward heaven, his
sanity was restored.
As he
praised the most High, honour and splendor
was restored back to him. The nobles and advisors who had left
him now sought him. And His throne was
restored back to him. In Daniel
4:36 we read Nebuchadnezzar became even
greater than before.
The Lord
God restored to King Nebuchadnezzar, his sanity, splendor, honour, kingdom and
throne!
We have a
promise in 1Peter 5:10, “And the God of all
grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a
little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and
steadfast.”
So
remember the Lord himself will restore you and you will be even greater than
before!!
